← All articles

If a site is hacked, data is lost, reputation drops and customer trust is lost. The following 7 rules sharply reduce the risk.

1. Strong passwords

The admin password must be long, with letters, numbers and symbols. "123456" or "admin" are forbidden.

2. Update everything

An outdated platform, plugins and themes are an open door for hackers. Don't skip updates.

3. Install SSL

SSL encrypts data. It is free and mandatory.

4. Regular backup

A daily backup lets you restore the site quickly. On Sayt.uz hosting the backup is automatic.

5. Limit access

Only the necessary people should access the admin panel. Enable two-factor confirmation.

6. Remove the unnecessary

Unused plugins and files are an extra risk.

7. Choose reliable hosting

Good hosting provides protection and monitoring at the server level.

Security is constant attention, not a one-time action.
