SSL types — DV, OV and EV certificate differences

SSL certificates split into 3 types by validation level.

DV (Domain Validation)

Cheapest, only domain ownership is verified. Good for blogs and small sites.

OV (Organization Validation)

Company documents are checked. Boosts trust for business sites.

EV (Extended Validation)

Full verification. For banks, e-commerce. Browser may show a green bar.

Which one?

DV is enough for regular sites. OV or EV for businesses accepting payments.
