Unhappy with your domain registrar? Transferring is straightforward but easy to mess up.
1. Check eligibility
Domain must be registered 60+ days ago. Also start at least 15 days before expiration.
2. Disable Transfer Lock
In your registrar panel, find Transfer Lock or Domain Lock — disable it.
3. Get EPP/Auth code
The domain's 'passport'. Request from panel or support. Sent via email, valid 24 hours.
4. Initiate transfer at new registrar
Search domain, click Transfer, enter EPP code, pay (one year renewal price).
5. Confirm
Owner gets email with link — confirm. 1-7 days to complete. DNS preserved — no downtime.
