WordPress is used on almost half of the world's websites. It is free, convenient and lets you build a site without programming.
1. Preparation
WordPress needs two things: a domain and hosting. The hosting must support PHP and a MySQL database — in Sayt.uz plans this is standard.
2. Installation
The easiest way is the auto-installer in the control panel. In ISPmanager or Plesk you select "WordPress", fill in a few fields, and the system installs everything itself.
Manual installation is also possible: download the files from wordpress.org, upload them to hosting, create a MySQL database and run the setup wizard.
3. First settings
- Enter the site name and description.
- Enable nice URLs (Permalinks).
- Choose a theme.
- Install the needed plugins — but not unnecessary ones.
4. Security
Make the admin password strong, always update WordPress and plugins, enable SSL. The daily backup on hosting gives extra protection.
